In keeping with disappointing trends, Jon’s slight highs tend to be paired with low lows. Today was not an exception.
In hopes of helping the blood flow through his heart, Jon’s team administered a dose epinephrine today. Sadly this caused ventricular tachycardia; a condition in which the lower chambers of the heart beat very quickly, and for Jon in the lethal levels. To combat this, they gave Jon a small dose of a sedative and had to shock his heart to put him back into normal rhythm. Needless to say, they terminated the epinephrine dose immediately.
Where does this leave Jon? I really don’t know. I don’t have some witty explanation nor do I have some personal story to weave into the fabric of this update. This is yet another un-sugarcoated pill that we all must swallow. What I am sure of though is that the grim prognosis Jon’s doctors have so urgently heeded is slowly starting to sink in for Megan and family. The unimaginable is suddenly and horribly starting to seep into the fiber of our existence. To be clear, we refuse to give up hope until all hope is verifiably and irrevocably depleted; and they’re not depleted yet.
Not. Yet.
